DOMD 2000 - eps 39 & 40 - Tieu Bao talks to his wives before being beheaded

Tieu Bao is in the jail waiting to be beheaded. Suddenly his wives come to see him for the last time.

Athena: Hubby!
Ruby: Hubby!
Jessie: Tieu Bao!
Teresa: Hubby!
Annie: Hubby!
Monica: Tieu Bao!
Dicky: Kien Ninh, Song Nhi, Long Nhi, A Kha, Phuong Gi, Binh Nhi. What are all of you doing here? There's no fun here.
Ruby: His Majesty told us to come and have a chat with you.
Dicky: It's kind of him.
Athena: Hubby, feel it. Our baby is arriving soon. I need you to bring him up. Without you, he'll go astray. I know you could escape. Why did you give yourself up? Why play the hero?
Dicky: Let me listen to the baby. Hey, call me "Father". You won't get to see me after your birth. I'm not sure if it's a boy or a girl. I'm not pretending, but I am paying someone with my life. Dicky hugs Ruby.

Ruby: Live or die, I will be your wife.
Dicky: I'm relieved to hear that.

Dicky kisses her.

Dicky: A Kha. Where is A Kha?

Athena go toward him.

Dicky: We went through so much before we could be together. Little did I expect the relationship to end so soon. I didn't want it this way. I put in all my effort when I courted you. I fell for you at first sight. It's the truth. I feel sorry to leave you this soon.

Dicky takes Athena's hand and slaps his own face.

Dicky turns toward Annie.

Dicky: I'll protect you...from up there. I'll watch over you.

Dicky turns towards Teresa and Jessie.

Dicky: As for the two of you, I've known you for the longest period. You are the first who joined my Vy family. Do you know it?
Teresa: Hubby, I used to irritate you and make a fool of you. Are you mad at me?

Teresa cries.

Jessie says "yes" by a sign of head.

Jessie says "yes" by a sign of head. Dicky starts to sing the song Jessie sang.

Dicky & Jessie: Carrying a bag to school...

Guard 1: Time's up! Vy Tieu Bao is to be taken to the execution ground!
Guard 2: Time's up! Vy Tieu Bao is to be taken to the execution ground!

All the wives cry deeply. They take Dicky's hand and don't let he leave.

Dicky: I don't want to go.

The wives cry more and more.

Dicky: Shhh...Let me go. Let me go. Don't touch me. Don't touch me. Shh....

Dicky leave the prison to go to the execution ground. He start to read a poem.

Dicky: The cool breeze carries a message under the autumn moon. Time seems to crawl as I pine for my fair lady.

The wiwes continue to read the poem with him.

Dicky & wives: Though I'm not handsome or dashing, I have a magnanimous heart...

Dicky leave the prison. The wives cry more and more...

Teresa: I feel so refreshed after a bath. Kiem Binh, it's your turn now. Let me attend to Mother-in-law.
VXH: No need!
Teresa: Come, it's comfortable.

Ruby passed in front of Teresa.

Teresa: Hey, what are you doing here? Aren't you preparing Kiem Binh's bath?
Ruby: Hey, don't I need firewood to prepare a hot bath? There's no more so how can I prepare her bath?
Teresa: You should have reckoned how much firewood you would need. Don't try to skive.
Ruby: What?! I've been doing all the manual work! Why don't you take over if you're so capable?

Ruby: Hey, you keep bullying me! I'll tell Tieu Bao when he comes home!
VXH: Break it up! We don't even know if Tieu Bao, Song Nhi, Long Nhi and A Kha are still alive. The moon is so round. Mid-autumn is arriving, but will we have a family reunion?
Jessie: Rest assured that they'll come back safely.
Dicky, Annie , Monica: A family reunion tonight.

Dicky: Mom! My wives! I missed you!

Ruby was jealous seeing Dicky hugs all of his others wives but not her. She want to go toward Dicky, but Teresa did it before her.

Teresa: I missed you so much that my hair turned grey.
Dicky: Did it? It's as beautiful as ever. Kiss.

Teresa kisses him. And Kiem Binh do the same thing. Ruby start to cry.

Dicky: What's the matter?
Ruby: I longed for you every day, but when you come back, you kissed and hugged everybody except me!
Dicky: Next time, grab a favourable position for yourself. Phu Phu?

She says "yes" by a sign of head. He blows in her ear and she smiles.

Teresa: Enough! Cut the act! All of us are home. Go and fix dinner! ( to Ruby)
Ruby: I fix meals every day. Can I take the day off? (to Dicky)
Dicky: I don't care about housework.
Annie: Well, I love to cook. Let me do the cooking tonight.
Teresa: Aren't you tired? Go take a rest. (to Annie)
Teresa: Hey, you do the cooking.
Dicky: You do it with Song Nhi.
Teresa: Me?
Dicky: I am hungry.
Jessie: That's okay, let me do it with Song Nhi.
Teresa: No need. Since Tieu Bao wants a dinner prepared by me, I'll whip up something good.

Teresa whispers to Jessie's ear:
Teresa: Take a good seat.

Teresa: Song Nhi, let's go.

Teresa and Annie leave. Dicky is looking at Teresa.

Ruby: Why are you looking at her? Aren't I pretty?
Dicky: You weren't so fierce a while ago.
Ruby: She was bullying me.
Dicky: Useless girl.

He hugs her but gives kisses to Jessie by far. (Jessie was behind Ruby)

Ruby: Who were you kissing?
Dicky: You!

He kisses her.

DOMD 2000 - eps 29 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao

Ruby: Tieu Bao, do you know I've learnt to behave myself? I've even learning to make prawn dumplings. I hope you'll get to eat my prawn dumplings when you come back.
Dicky: Yes. I'd love prawn dumplings made by Princess Kien Ninh.

She is surprised by Dicky's voice. She turns and sees Dicky. She walk towards him and gives a slap.

Ruby: You're home at last?! Do you know how I passed my days? Do you know how badly I missed you? Do you know how much I love you? Do you know I make these prawn dumplings for you? Do you know I really miss you?
Dicky: Give me another beating if you wish.

She hugs him while crying.

Ruby: I really missed you! I'm sorry.
Dicky: It's all right. I'm already home. Dou you want Phu Phu?

She says "yes" by a sign of head. He blows in her ear.

Ruby: I've make prawn dumplings for you.
Dicky: Good. What kind of prawn dumplings?

DOMD 2000 - eps 24 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao - part 2

Dicky: Vy Tieu Bao pays his respects to Princess Kien Ninh.
Ruby: You came so late.
Dicky: The rest of you, please go. (to the maids)
Dicky: You have the guts to laugh!
Ruby: Why can't I laugh?
Dicky: What did you do to Ngo Ung Hung?
Ruby: I made him a eunuch!
Dicky: Are you serious?

She says "yes" by a sign of head.

Ruby: I pointed the gun at him and used it to knock his head. Next, slash! I made him a eunuch! Now, he can never be my husband!
Dicky: You're too bold! What a thing to do! Wasn't you scared?
Ruby: I was scared, but I did it for your sake.
Dicky: Don't implicate me! I didn't do anything.
Ruby: I'm serious. I can't defy Emperor Brother's order, yet I don't wish to be unfaithful to you. I had no choice to hurt him. So now, he and I can only be husband and wife in name. You won't become a cuckold.

Dicky didn't talk and seems to be angry...Suddenly, he laughs and starts to applaud. Ruby applauds with him.

Dicky: You've got rid of a threat! Smart girl!
Ruby: Great idea? Phu Phu!
Dicky: Not just Phu Phu. We'll kiss too!

Dicky: Princess Kien Ninh...Princess Kien Ninh...

Ruby appears behind Dicky holding a stick in her hands. Dicky had seen her in the mirror, but she doesn't know that. She want to hit him but before she do it, he faint.

Ruby: Why did he faint before I hit him? Tieu Bao...
Dicky: BOUH!
Ruby: AHHH!!!
Dicky: How dare you sneak up on me?!
Ruby: Not just that. I even want to kill you!
Dicky: Why do you want to kill me?
Ruby: Why haven't you been coming?
Dicky: Why should I come often? You'll be married off, anyway.
Ruby: So why did you come over today?
Dicky: Mind if I get soppy?
Ruby: No.
Dicky: I missed you.
Ruby: I don't want to marry that idiot Ngo Ung Hung.
Dicky: We're not destined to be together.

Ruby appears suddenly.
