DOMD 2000 - ep 9 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao

Ruby: Tieu Que Tu! The rascal won't open the door. He's making me stand here.

She opens the door and enters.

Ruby: Tieu Bao! Rascal! You're still sleeping!
Dicky: Princess Kien Ninh, when did you arrive? I was sleeping so soundly that I didn't hear you.
Ruby: I don't have a place in your heart. You haven't visited me for days ans wouldn't know if I were dead.
Dicky: Longevity to Your Highness! You'll live even after I've died 10 times.

Ruby made "yes" from a sign of head. Suddenly, Dicky stumbles and fall. (holding Ruby in his arms)

DOMD 2000 - eps 23 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao

Ruby: Tieu Bao, I missed you terribly. Did you think of me when you spoke to the Old Tortoise?
Dicky: Yes, I missed you badly. But let's get down to serious business first.
Ruby: Nothing could be more serious than enjoying ourselves. Phu Phu.

He blow in her ear.

Ruby: Let me introduce my two friends to you.
Dicky: Another idiotic game. So lovely! What's your name?
Ruby: I'm Song Song.
Dicky: What's your name, child?
Ruby: I'm Dong Thuy.
Dicky: Dong Thuy, Song Song, how old are you?
Ruby: Dong Thuy is two years old. Song Song is two years old too.
Dicky: You're not good children. Shouldn't you greet me? Call me "Brother".
Ruby: Good day, Father. Dong Thuy greets Father. Song Song greets Father.
Dicky: Why are you calling me Father?
Ruby: Do you expect us to call that idiotic Ngo Ung Hung "Father"?
Dicky: Let's quit this joke.
Ruby: I have good news. Come. Stand further away. I'll look for a good spot...and scrutinize your reaction.
Dicky: ??
Ruby: I am carrying...your...baby.

Dicky start to cry.

Ruby: Tieu Bao, why are you crying? Are you touched? I'm elated. Talk to me. I want to know what you'll say on learning I'm pregnant.
Dicky: ...

DOMD 2000 - eps 17 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao

Dicky: Princess Kien Ninh... Princess Kien Ninh...Strange. She sends for me, yet she's not here.

Suddenly, Ruby appears and pulls Dicky's ear.

Dicky: You're murdering your husband!
Ruby: You know your way home after all.
Dicky: That hurts. Please let go.
Ruby: This will make you remember me.
Dicky: Let go right away.
Ruby: No! I'll pull your ear off and eat it.
Dicky: Oh...A big rat!
Ruby: AHHHH!! Where is it?
Dicky: On the stool. It's greedy and cowardly.
Ruby: How dare you make fun of the Princess?
Dicky: Before others, you're a princess. But before me, you're my wife.
Ruby: I waited for you every day.
Dicky: Really?
Ruby: Yes.
Dicky: You're honest, direct and not at all bashful, I like that.
Ruby: It's not wrong to love someone. Why should I be bashful?
Dicky: If all women were like you, there would be peace in the world.
Ruby: There are other women?

Dicky: When I went to your rescue, I didn't feel any pain...as my mind was fully on the task. Now, I feel as if I'm breaking into pieces.
Ruby: You were injured because you tried to save me. You risked your life when you attacked that evil witch. I'm so touched.
Dicky: If you're touched, don't bully me again, and I'd be most grateful.
Ruby: I'll never torture you again. I'll love you with all my heart. You were willing to sacrifice your life for me. I'll tell Brother the secret, so we can get married right away.
Dicky: That's how you're repaying me?
Ruby: Nothing better than marying you to repay you.
Dicky: Sure.
Ruby: I'll tell Emperor Brother.
Dicky: No, don't go to him.
Ruby: Why? I know. You don't love me!
Dicky: No, I love you very much.
Ruby: Good, we'll go to Brother.

Dicky: I don't care if I die. Just don't tell His Majesty our secret.
Ruby: But I love you.

Dicky: Sit down, I'll sing it for you.

Dicky start to sing.

Ruby: Hold it! After singing to long, you're still fine. Why aren't you bleeding?
Dicky:....
Ruby: OH...Protective vest. You lied to me. You don't really love me.
Dicky: No! I'll really die for you.
Ruby: Show me.
Dicky: Can you bear to?
Ruby: I can't bear to, but chop off your hand.
Dicky: Princess Kien Ninh...
Ruby: I'll count to three. If you don't chop off your hand, I'll tell Emperor Brother.
Dicky: No.
Ruby: 2...3! Silly fool. I love you too much to let you die. I can only hold your right hand if your left hand is gone. That's boring.

DOMD 2000 - eps 4 - Kien Ninh & Tieu Bao

Dicky: What are you doing?
Ruby: Listening to your heartbeat.
Dicky: Of course you can hear it. Only a dead man has no heartbeat.
Ruby: I've never heard it before.
Dicky: Who would dare to deny you the chance?
Ruby: I don't want the heartbeats of palace maids and sissy eunuchs. They harass me like dogs.
Dicky: Just listen, but don't touch me. Now how about your mother?
Ruby: She hasn't talked much to me over the last year. She always says she's tired and needs to rest.
Dicky: How about His Majesty?
Ruby: He's busy with state affairs I wouldn't dare disturb him.
Dicky: So you're really lonely.
Ruby: Nobody bothers or cares about me. I feel as if I were a bird without a mother.
Dicky: It's all right. You have friends. I'll be your friend! I'll show you concern. Then you won't be a lonely princess.
Ruby: You're serious?

Ruby kiss Dicky and there is a moment of silence.

Ruby: Do you like me?
Dicky: Hm...hm...
Ruby: ??
Dicky: A little.
Ruby: Only a little? Am I not adorable?
Dicky: Your're adorable, but a little wilful, petty and impatience.
Ruby: I only asked whether you like me.
Dicky: I think I love you, but I'm not supposed to.
Ruby: Why not?
Dicky: Beacause I already have a sweetheart.
Ruby: Who? What's her name? Where does she live? Is she pretty?
Dicky: Her name is Tieu Kim Ngu. She lives in Duong Chau. Same age as you. She is not very pretty but quite pretty.

Ruby start crying.

Dicky: Don't cry. I really can't love you. I promised to marry her.

Ruby cries more.

Dicky: But I can still care for you and dote on you.

She stop crying.

Ruby: Really?
Dicky: I'll treat you like a sister.

She cries again.

Dicky: Oh no, like a good friend.

She cries more.

Dicky: Closer than a good friend!

She stop crying.

Ruby: Between Tieu Kim Ngu and me, who do you like better?

Dicky: Tieu Kim Ngu for sure.

She cries again.

Dicky: Stop crying!
Ruby: Why are you so fierce?!
Dicky: No more bargaining! I love Tieu Kim Ngu just a little more than I love you. Even if it's a little, it must still be more.

DOMD 2000 - eps 6 - Tieu Bao & Kien Ninh

Ruby: Why are you sulking by yourself?
Dicky: I'm angry with you.
Ruby: Why?
Dicky: I feel uneasy after what happened between us.
Ruby: Silly boy, what is done can't be undone. You're my man now. I'll take good care of you in future.
Dicky: You must be responsible for your words and actions. I won't shirk responsibilities. I won't ill-treat you. Don't worry. Give me a smile.

He smiles

Ruby: Good boy.
Dicky: Why did the Empress Dowager summon you?
Ruby: She has learnt about my impending marriage to Ngo Ung Hung.
Dicky: A princess's marriage is a big affair. Of course she has to know.
Ruby: So I've told Mother I'm not marrying that idiot.
Dicky: Did you tell her about us?

She says "yes" from a sign of head.

Dicky: Flatter.

She looks at him with big eyes.

Dicky: Straighter...

She always look at him with big eyes.

Dicky: Fatter...

She is more angry.

Dicky: Skinnier...

She gives a blow on the table.

Dicky: Good.

She smiles and continues to write.

Dicky: Her figure is better than your's.
Ruby: Continue.
Dicky: So on a dark, windy...and stormy afternoon...
Ruby: How could it be dark in the afternoon?
Dicky: So on a sunny and sweater afternoon...
Ruby: We did something we shouldn't have done. But this was not really a thing we shouldn't do because we love each other so we don't care about other people's opinions. Please forget me. Good-bye ex-lover. Signed, Tieu Bao.
Dicky:...
Ruby: Come and put your thumbprint on it.

Quietly, Ruby tears the letter.

Ruby: It was just a joke. You're so petty. Look at how uptight you are.
Dicky: You nearly scared me to death.
Ruby: What's there to be scared of? She's not a shark.
Dicky: I'm not scared of her. I respect her. I love her. So I don't want to hurt her.
Ruby:...

Ruby takes Dicky's hand.

Ruby: Tieu Que Tu, I ask you. Will you, one day, love me as much as you love Tieu Kim Ngu?
Dicky: No.
Ruby: Why?
Dicky: I can't explain it.
Ruby: Is there a possibility that you will someday?
Dicky: I can't foretell the future.
Ruby: Never mind. I'll wait for you. I believe you'll love me someday. I want you to know that from today onwards, I will love you the way Tieu Kim Ngu loves you. She loves you how much. I'll love you this much. My love for you will be just as deep or even deeper. That's because I really love you.

Dicky: One day? The days has long arrived. I love you as much as Tieu Kim Ngu.

Demi Gods and Semi Devils: "Doan Du et ses soeurs"

Relations entre Doan Du et ses soeurs:

Vuong Ngoc Yen:
Dès la première fois que Doan Du a rencontré Vuong Ngoc Yen, il l'aime déjà. Doan Du fait tout pour Ngoc Yen même si il sait très bien qu'elle aime juste son cousin: Mo Dung Phuc. Plus tard, lorsque Ngoc Yen sait que son cousin ne l'aime pas pour vrai, elle a accepté Doan Du, car elle sait qu'il a fait plusieurs choses pour elle et il l'aime pour vrai. Mais en réalité, est-ce que Ngoc Yen aime vraiment Doan Du? Ou c'est parce qu'elle prend Doan Du pour un remplacent de Mo Dung Phuc?

Moc Uyen Thanh:
Elle était supposée de se marié avec Doan Du vers le début du film, mais malheureusement, elle a découvert qu'elle était la soeur de Doan Du. Mais après cela, elle n'a toujours pas réussi à oublier Doan Du. Ce prouve qu'elle aime Doan Du pour vrai.

Chung Linh:
Entre celles-ci, Chung Linh est la première fille qui a rencontré Doan Du. Elle a tout de suite aimé Doan Du dès la première fois qu'elle le rencontre, mais Doan Du l'a toujours pris pour une soeur et il n'a jamais su qu'elle l'aimait. Lorsque Chung Linh sait qu'elle était la soeur de Doan Du, elle était triste pour un petit bout de temps, mais après, elle l'a oublié.

Selon moi, Moc Uyen Thanh est celle qui aime Doan Du le plus. Vuong Ngoc Yen a changé trop rapidement lorsqu'elle a dit à Doan Du qu'elle l'acceptait. Chung Linh a oublié Doan Du trop rapidement. Tandis que Moc Uyen Thanh, même si elle sait que Doan Du est son frère, elle n'a pas réussi à l'oublier facilement.
